There are numerous reasons for becoming a member of the RPA.  First and foremost, we can use your help and support! We have no paid staff and no overhead - just the energy, talents, and knowledge of our membership lending over 50 years of environmental support for one of the finest urban park systems in our nation.

The RPA conducts several hikes every year to give adults and young people the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate our wonderful parklands.  At our annual meeting, we socialize over breakfast, hear an expert speaker, elect our officers, and enjoy a hike.  On other hikes in the spring and in the fall, we visit new parks, proposed land acquisitions, and parklands involving controversial issues.
